What some of our
Warriors have to say
Hear directly from the warriors, families and volunteers, whose lives have been touched by our mission. Their stories reflect the impact of care, support, and community, showing how every effort creates real change and lasting hope.
My name is Amaka Rachael uyammadu. I am a mom of two warriors aged 8 and 6 years old. I am a Beneficiary of RED CURVE SICKLE CELL FOUNDATION. I have received a lot of support in many forms like payment of hospital bills to support my kids medical treatment, and even a deep freezer was bought for my business. Parenting a warrior or warriors can be challenging but the support from RED CURVE SICKLE CELL FOUNDATION keeps me going. I pray that God will establish the good plans of this foundation and bless all our givers.

My name is Folakemi Olaleye, mum of two warrior sons. I have heard alot of scary and negative things about sickle cell. Some say they are abiku (a child born to die); and the one that scares me the most is when people say they are like a walking time bomb, ready to explode anytime. However, my fear began to diminish the moment I joined Red Curve Sickle Cell Foundation group. I have learned quite a lot from mummy Lolade Dyson, mummy Olapeju Taiwo, and our amazing hematologist, Dr. Alieze who gives us free lectures on the dangers of self medication during crisis, compulsory intake of daily routine drugs, water therapy and so on. The most amazing part of Red Curve Sickle Cell Foundation is that no one is left behind. It's like being among like-minds where we get to share our pains, our joys and our support for each other. We also get our share of gift for all warriors including cash gift and free routine drugs. we were also able to get a palliative from during the covid period. Thanks to mummy Lolade Dyson for creating Red Curve sickle cell group. Our prayers are with you for financial breakthrough and heavenly blessings. Wit luv frm the Olaleyes.

My name is Martina Onoja, I am mum to two warrior sons. I am a member of the Red Curve Sickle Cell Foundation and I have benefited in various ways. The founder, Mummy Dyson invites Hematologist from time to time to address and educate parents and caregivers of warriors on how to help them live a healthy life, avoid drug abuse and things to look out for even when there is no crisis. Aside medical intervention, we also support each other in the place of prayers whenever there is a challenge. Personally, I have also benefited financially to help with medications and hospital bills. This financial assistance comes from free will donations from other members and personal donations from the founder. I strongly believe that with more funding and support from individuals, organizatios and even the government, we would be able to create more awareness and touch more lives.
